ALBUM LICENSING For those who haven't released an album or CD before, know that doing an album yourself can be VERY expensive - especially if you want to get it right. For those who want a vintage sound, VERY few studios have the equipment necessary for that sound, and those that are can be pricey. After paying for musicians, studio time and more, doing an album yourself can cost as much as $30,000.. or even more!!! But there's an easier way - for a FRACTION of the cost, with help from people who've released 20+ albums/CDs and can help you through it.. right here at Just Awesome Karaoke!! Read through our options carefully to see which package is right for you, or email us at: jak@justawesomekaraoke.com Basic Licensing Package ($2000): • License for you to use a select 12 of our instrumental recordings with your lead vocals for a CD and/or Digital album release. • Your vocals placed in our session, basic levels set and using our vintage compressors and EQs (if submitting audio not from our studios, audio must be ready-to-use with no pitch/timing/speed corrections left for us to do, as those are not included) • Your face, name, and basic text placed into the artwork prepared from our albums and/or album options. CD and digital format of artwork is included. (you must provide all other text necessary, all pictures must be ready to use. Note for physical releases: before artwork is started, you must select the place you'll order your CDs from, and must provide us with the proper templates needed for your release that are provided by that company.) • Your album available digitally on www.justawesomekaraoke.com (20% processing/site fee deducted from each song/album purchased from site.) Note: The basic package does not include song royalty payments or "mechanical licensing", which you'll need to release an album, and also does not include production help or assistance. For production help and assistance, please see our add-on packages. Add-on packages: • Multi-Format Release Artwork ($500): for artwork in any release format other than CD/Digital (such as Vinyl, 8-track, or Cassette), you want this. Your CD artwork will be formatted for Vinyl, 8-track, Cassette - whatever format you need! If you change manufacturing companies and need your artwork re-formatted to fit the new manufacturer's templates, this package covers that, too! • Multi-Format Release Audio ($600): for audio mixing/mastering in any release format other than CD/Digital (such as Vinyl, 8-track, or Cassette), you want this. Not all formats can use the same mixing/mastering as used for CD and Digital releases, and if you want to release your album in another format, then this makes sure everything works for your favorite physical audio format! • Artwork Customization ($800): Need something customized? Photo touch-ups (within reason), re-color, background removal, etc? Then this is the package for you. • Intermediate Audio Correction Package ($1500): Pitch/timing correction, audio repair (when possible) and customized vocal volume control. Does your vocal need extra sweetening from someone who knows what they're doing? Get this, and you'll be set! • 4-in-1 M-A-I package ($2500): Want to bundle the Multi-Format Release (Artwork AND Audio), Artwork Customization, and Intermediate Audio Package into a bundle that saves $900! Silver VIP Licensing Package ($6000): Is this your first album? Not sure what to do or how to go about it? We'll help you each step of the way in bringing your very own tribute album to life! You'll get VIP treatment from start to finish: you'll get the Basic Licenseing Package, along with everything from every other add-on above. But that's just the beginning! We'll help you find a good CD manufacturer and (if in the U.S.) show you where to go to pay the songwriters' royalties (also known as "mechanical license"). The best part: Jamie will help you in your recording remotely (if not using our studios) and help you prepare for it by giving tips and coaching for needed spots to help make your vocal performances for the album the best they can be! Gold VIP Licensing Package ($10,000+*): Want to feel like a rock star, with someone else taking care of it all for you**? Then here you go! This has everything from the Silver VIP Licensing Package, PLUS we deal with the manufacturer so you don't have to! You'll get 1,000 CDs in either jewel cases or LP-looking "wallet" style, shipped right to you,* and royalties for those 1,000 CDs all paid!** *final price depends on artwork needs, manufacturer and shippping costs. **Song royalty payment/mechanical licensing payment available only in the U.S. Separate Packages: Recording Studio Package ($2500): Want a studio experience like no other? Come to our vocal studio in Iowa and spend 5-7 days recording, with Jamie as your personal vocal coach and producer - working hand-in-hand with you to give you your best sound ever! VIDEO AND OTHER LICENSING: Our music can be found on products produced all over the world, and used in video productions and presentations, too!
